Saw the commercial for new 3 series last night...

Was not impressed at all.... got a few cool tech gadgets but the thing is fugly

I don't know if it's the overstated grille or the funky rear end slope, but it's hideous

Hold on to your f30's folks....

Make a date to come back here in eight years and see all the posts about how the new H20 3 series are gosh awful ugly and that everyone needs to hang onto their G20s.

Have you actually seen the car in person yet ? Personally, I am holding off my judgement until I get a good look in person.

It looks fine, is faster and drives way better than the F30.

I spent quite a bit of time checking out the one BMW had in their display at Barrett-Jackson. Exterior looked good (I always prefer coupe), interior was a pretty big improvement, leather seats were definitely better than the Dakota- it was the standard leather, not Individual. The power was on in the car, so I got to check out some of the new tech, feel of the controls, etc. Overall liked it a lot, but can't wait to see the M440 G22 coupe!

No MT option. That’s a huge step back as far as I am concerned. I may be alone in thinking this. But honestly, to have such great handling, speed, and deprive it of an MT option. Sometimes commercial considerations should give way to reason.

haha...yeah probably, but not all the time does the next gen look as good as the previous

sometimes a car comes out with a new look and it makes you want to trade in the old one asap(the 2020 explorer has me thinking that) but this one sure isn't one of those at least to me....maybe I might like it better in person, but from the pics and videos it is something I won't be interested in.

I was honestly a bit relieved when they unveiled the G20, because its exterior convinced me to keep my F31.

As a diehard MT fan and driver for the past 15 years, I feel your pain. But even I'm ready to give up the "save the manuals" campaign. It's a losing battle.

I've seen a few at my dealership. When I first drove by, I thought they were 5 series due to their size. I need to go take one for a test drive.

I was there as well and checked out that very same car. I must say it looked much better in person.

Then I got stuck on the green M5 Competition.

Actually the death of MT is always a step forward.

With the headlamp copied from Peugeot 3008, tail from Lexus GS, body from F30, not arousing interest to replace my F30. However, interior is way better in terms of material and design, seats are much more comfortable than F30, I test-sit in the showroom of a Sport version 330i, it wraps around you with complete spine support, yet enough space to move around, not like the old sport seats side bolster cramped my fat belly.

I didn't like the style of E90 when it came out in 2005, and never like it even after I bought one, I guess the same on my view to G20.

Having said that, E60 was weird to me in 2003, but get used to it after years of looking at it.

Definitely planned to keep my F32 for a decade. New BMW design language lost me, all cars fugly except for the 2 series and new 8 series. People who buy the new X5 / X7 are blind, I'm sorry.

Agree. The E90 LCI with the taillights and hood was much more attractive. I find the F30 quite good looking. Haven’t seen the G20 in person yet.

I kind of like it. I feel like the M3/M4 is going to look real good. The tail lights are the only thing that bother me.
