Can Bimmercode keep the reverse camera on?
I read a thread how Esys or similar could code the rear cam to stay on when you drive off. Can this be done with Bimmercode even in Advanced mode as I would find it useful to see what I'm towing.

I doubt it, as even with E-Sys you have to use some non-standard coding to do it. You have to code not only the speed at which the camera shuts off but also the distance traveled.

In Bimmer Code there are two things you could code on the REM unit.
Rear view camera speed switch off. Code to 50 km/h Rear view camera distance switch off. Code to not active. Camera would stay on up to 31 mph / 50 km/h May be under expert mode a custom value could replace 50 km/h if you intend to tow above that speed. You would need to manually activate the cam each time then drive off. |
