if i am not mistaking there was a thread about new e90 that was coming to the usa and there was a lot of dispute about will it or not have the new idrive system. well as far as i can see, the bmw usa website confirms that it has the new idrive system but it still remains under question mark if it will have step tonic paddle shifters or not.

this was on there bmw usa website so i guess it is coming to the usa

It's not just a new screen, the entire unit is made by a different company now, so no software update will make our iDrive work like the new one.
