My new G20 3 series is at Sea, so the Genius informs me.
How long does it take approximately for the car to reach the dealer after the ship docks ?
I know it depends where the ship docks and where my dealer is ( Yorkshire ) etc,etc.
What are your experiences with this ?

Once at sea you'd normally expect to take delivery within a week or two.

It is a bit variable. For my current car it was about 10 days. For my previous car the whole process from order through build and delivery was 18 days from signature to keys.

It can certainly take a long time from the car leaving the production
line to reaching the buyer.
That 18 day order to delivery was phenomenaly quick.

my previous experience was 7 days from being 'shipped' to dealer when I was tracking and waiting for my X1.

I to have a G20 on order, the dealer/lease company wont provide the official order number for me to track the status of the vehicle which is a PITA!. Just our of interest, when was your G20 order placed?

Do all the cars come to the UK via Southampton or do some enter via

It is both but but there must be some north/south logic to it all...

My first F36 went to a Midlands dealer via Immingham and my second F36 went to the same dealer via Southampton.

Doesn’t seem to be much logic, maybe just goes where the next boat is due to dock

Contacted a Genius, he didn’t have the name of the ship..
My car has been stuck at code 9620, At Sea, for over 24 hours.
Maybe it is because of the winds, but I’m not certain how long the
journey takes to the UK.

Just spoke to my dealer, car is expected in to them today !!

so just have to wait for lease company to pull finger out and give approval - whatever that means.

so hopefully should have car later part of next week I would hope....
