Pro nav update question

Hi all,

I have pro nav and it is apparently receiving automatic map updates, however when I check the map version it states:

Road Map EUROPE EVO 2015-4A
Automatic map update
GB, IE (2019-1)

Do I need to use USB map updates to move to a newer EVO version?

I have also just received an email from BMW ConnectedDrive services that states my USB map update service will expire in 2 weeks, however on the BMW COnnectedDrive website, Remote Cockpit only gives me the option to purchase 12 months of USB map updates for £79...

#confused

OTA is UK only as I understand, to update EU, you will need to use USB & download manager

Thanks. Is the BMW Download Manager still a thing? I can't seem to find it anywhere as all Google links point to the new BMW ConnectedDrive site (which doesn't give me the option to download anything USB map related unless I pay the £79).

I think when you go to remote cockpit and map update, it takes you to another page and you can download the download manager from there! Is your subscription already expired?

Mine recently did this OTA update I'm good on my Connected Drive subscription until Oct 2019 have checked the BMW Download Manager and still no usb update to download and update from pen drive.

Looks like it must have expired. Strange since all other connected drive subscriptions don't expire for me until April.

I assumed that automatic updates would actually do exactly that and keep it automatically up-to-date, but it seems that USB updates are also in order from time to time. Lesson learned!

Maybe do the download manager and see what comes up! Worth a try if you have never physically updated it by USB

OTA has never worked for me - I regularly do the USB update which always works and keeps me up to date

Mine didn't either until it do this latest one the other day it seems connected drive is all over the place.
