Unless your sole purpose is to track this car, the KW HAS kit seems like the more versatile option. You lose all ability to adjust stiffness on the fly inside the cabin with the V4, and it's considerably more expensive than the HAS. Is there a reason you're leaning towards the V4?

I believe the IND M5 had this suspension but not 100% certain.

I have always done full Kw's but couldn't swallow the 6k for the coilovers on the F90. I know the IND car is running the V4's for sure. Too bad because If they were 3-4K I would've had them on already.

Entirely agree with you. I kept an eye on the classifieds and snagged a barely used set for mid $3k.

Our F90 still does, still love it. Mileage is now at 4258 as it hasn't been driven much over the winter. Here are some thoughts I'd shared in a post back in the fall.

I have to say that I absolutely love the V4
Was thinking buying a set after I got the new wheels but, mine plans changed last minute Spring rate was a little higher then stock, it was perfect for me. It reminded me on mine E36 M3 that I had KW in Europe. Just much more compiled it wasn't to stiff that would hurt you after long drive. I could only drive 2 hours on E36 before back started to hurt. Lol This felt so good that really made me think a lot to buy it.

One word: AMAZING
Those are my initial thoughts at least. I've put maybe 40 miles on the car since install and I am VERY impressed. The settings were adjusted to be slightly softer than how it comes from the factory. I have a comp model so I've learned to like the stiffness but this almost has standard M5 suspension beat. Just imagine a "Comfort +" setting. I do have 21" HREs going on soon so we'll see how much it changes but I'd imagine it not being that bad. My goal was to match height on the IND car. There's plenty more room to drop however, this is my daily and I'd rather not deal with rubbing. |

When you drive above 230 km/h on German Autobahn the OEM suspension is bouncy on the rear axles and when you pass a transverse joint it's get's interesting. They unlocked the Vmax and I can drive 305 km/h ;-) I love the AutoBahn. |

The bounciness is increased with lowering springs, regardless of brand. The V4 improve the dampening and reduce the bounce at high speeds. We've only installed 1 kit here, but initial drive is a huge improvement over stock. Bumps and dips absorbed much better, more compliant ride, Did not feel stiffer than OEM in Sports Plus while handling better than OEM. Kits are available in 3 weeks time from Germany, for those interested. |
