Cursed F31 328d
Anyone out there experiencing bad luck with their BMW. Bought mine in November and the first month it was in and out of the dealership for weeks, close to 10,000 in repairs, thankfully under warranty but my warranty ended shortly after as I hit 50k miles in January.
Then I got in a wreck which has been a nightmare, some lady hit me and just got my car back last week a month after the accident. Then today I just noticed a lot of door dings that might or might have no been there before, but I’ve never seen them. It just seems never ending. The universe does not want me to have this car. Wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. I love my car and plan to keep it for a while but sometimes after all that I’ve been through it’s just making me want to get another car and “start over” but I probably won’t Last edited by 328iX; 03-08-2019 at 10:51 AM.. |

Sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience .. Horror stories like this are what keep me from buying used cars. I always feel like there is a really good change you can end up with someones "old problem". My lease is up soon and my car has been rock solid. The "get another car and start over" would probably be my personal choice.

Sounds like when I got my M3 besides car issues. Two weeks after I got my M3 someone ran a redlight and hit the front end of my car. About 3 weeks after I got my car back someone hit my door in my townhouse parking lot so I didnt have the car again for another 2 weeks. Last year during the summer someone hit my rear bumper, making it the second hit & run on my car in less than 1 year.

A huge portion of those repair costs was due to the transfer case, and they fail very often with the diesel engine. So it's a question of wanting to start over or just hope nothing goes wrong anymore? |

Start over.
Cars and motorcycles are a huge hobby of mine, and once I lose confidence or feel a certain vehicle is cursed, I dump it. Yes, I've lost money, but I've never regretted doing it. Last edited by skyline408; 03-08-2019 at 10:06 AM.. |
