X3M/X4M at Geneva?

haven't seen any news, seems odd with production starting next month and it being introduced already they wouldn't have them at Geneva.

My sales rep here in Switzerland has already seen the X3M. There should be several cars already out for exhibitions, probably this one went to Geneva.

Annoying, no mention of the X3M during this presentation...

I'm guessing they'll have a separate presentation for the non-electric models

Another post from our insider on the forum have been stating for a while now that Geneva was going to be EV focused.

EV, the worst thing we can do to the environment.

False marketing to make people believe they have less of an environmental foot print than gas engines.

Only real enviro friendly cars will be hydrogen, all this wasted money on time spent on EV...

Not true. Look at the data. EV cars are substantially more environmentally friendly than petrol cars from when measured from production to lifetime environmental impact of emissions. Doesn't mean they have no impact on the environment or that an alternative source isn't better, but in comparison to petrol, they are definitely cleaner and getting even cleaner by the year (whereas gas cars have essentially hit a plateau).

This idea that EV cars have a higher impact on the environment than petrol cars may have been true 10 years ago, but not now. Not even by a long shot. In fact while manufacturing an ICE car may create slightly less emissions than EV, in the life-cycle of the car (which is what people who say EV cars are dirtier seem to ignore) the emissions output from an ICE car is more than double what an EV produces (measured not at the tailpipe, but what it takes to create the electricity that charges EVs) for cars that drive the equivalent miles per year. On balance, if you drove one EV for 1 year, you would have negated the emissions penalty taken in producing the EV when compared to driving an ICE car for that same period. And given that the average American keeps their car for 6 years, EV is better for the environment than an ICE car (not to mention smog reduction in crowded cities). Read any number of studies from the Department of Energy, as well as numerous independent studies. The only recent study I have seen that shows the opposite was funded by oil companies and well, yeah.

A french guy posted a video on youtube yesterday (picture quality is quite bad). During 40 minutes he walks and shows all the models on bmw stand. On the M side, there were only a yellow M5 & red/orange M2. Consider that during the 2 first days which is intended for the Press, some models will not remain for public days starting tomorrow. Strangely no Z4 were displayed, which should arrive tomorrow on the stand for public days.

To power your super clean EV car, you need a nuclar powerplant, which generate nuclar wastes which are very ECO-Friendly too... Do not mention Windmill or solar panel there are not so Eco-friendly too. Only hydrolic powerplant would be green.

Dank, that's not cool.

But again maybe BMW knows it will sell all SAV/SAC it can produce so may as well promote hard selling products, in this case sedans/coupes.

I would like to see the X3M / X4M debut at the NYIAS next month. Chances are slim...

That is surprising that they didn’t have them at the Geneva show. They had an X4M in Toronto Red at the Toronto Auto Show in a closed room behind the BMW display area. They didn’t allow anyone to go inside with there mobile phones or cameras to take pictures.

Inside the closed room, there is an M8 , and those who are invited monday evening to the BMW Event, will see another M8 topless.

Strangely german, french, italian and Swiss medias annouced this Week the X3M and X4M in Geneva. but there are not there.
