Anyone for podcasts?
Hi All,
Does anyone use the podcast facility in the prof nav system? Can I do it via connected drive or is it done via phone, if so I only have an android phone? Essentially poor old fuzzy wants to be able to listen to some BBC podcasts on his long lonely journeys up north but not sure on the best way as i don't have a spotify or an account with funny names like that. I just use good old Bluetooth and pick and choose which podcast I wish to listen to from the media option within the iDrive.
However, I'm using the iOS podcast app and not android. |

Spoke to the BMW connected drive people and they say using my online connected drive login I can go to the 'control' option and use the Podcast link to send a podcast file direct to the car. Unfortunately the facility is currently bust but should be available in the next 24 hrs or so. I'll let you know how I get on.

mp3 is the compression used to make audio smaller The main difference is that podcasts are generally episodic and can be released via a feed, your podcast app reads the feed and then downloads the latest episode. Most people will use something like playerfm or itunes as a podcast client which automatically download them and then streams to the car |
