USB Map update only showing 2018-1

Hi Guys

Tried updating the wife's 2014 F30 but the BMW Download Manager is only showing 2018-1 as available.

Any ideas as to why a more recent version is not showing?

I’m in the same boat mate. Emailed ConnectedDrive and got fobbed off. They say to expect between 1 & 4 updates per year. I got the car last May and updated then, so it could be another couple of months yet. Ridiculous for the money, especially as stuff from late 2017 isn’t even in 2018-1.

I could be wrong, but I'm on 2018-4
On 340i with automatic updates.
BUT
I updated via USB through download via connected services on laptop

They tell you that it’s roght for some people to be on 2019-1, others on 2018-4 and some of us even as far back as 2018-1. It seems ridiculous.

I think I have the business nav. I just recently checked the update manager on my laptop and its still saying 2018-1. I was on to BMW. Their customer service are useless and I'm being kind.

2018-1 is the latest "Route" map (for EntryNav system)

I recommend speccing pro nav in future.

Just an update.
I spoke to connected services on Sat I think regarding the car not updating maps OTA as the service was active.
She checked the car. There was some issue with the car receiving updates.
She said try a common fix which can take a couple of days to work and lo and behold, my cat registered and installed uk and ie maps to 2019-1

The fix was:
Go on connected drive in menu.
Then click the option button
Click on update bmw services and let it complete.
Takes about a minute.
Let it sort itself out for a few days.

Worked for me.

The F30 still has 2018-2 maps....

Spoke to BMW who said that entry nav only gets updated once a year! hence have to wait until 2019-1 is released in a month or so.

Need to check out my G30 which is on 2018-2 and should OTA....

Is there any way to upgrade our map option from entry nav? Is it a full screen change to the bigger screen?

You would need the head unit and screen, and coding/fsc importing. Ccan probably get an ID4 system supplied and fitted for less than £1k, ID5/6 for a bit more.
