A686 - Anyone done this with ACS shocks?

I currently have 335d, ACS springs and rear M235 arb

Took on of my favourite drives back from the Lakes last week. The A686. Voted as one of the best drives in Britain, it climbs rapidly to 2000ft with tight corners and I have to say xdrive shows what its for.

http://www.drivingforpleasure.co.uk/...tours/post.php

However on the other side of the summit, the roads are fast with many long straights and have lots of undulations. Just too much for my car to handle. The handling on this road really showed my car up and was the limiting factor by a mile. At times I thought I was going to bounce off the road like Zebedee !

I am about to pull the trigger on some ACS shocks. i think it will be a big improvement

Anyone done this drive with them fitted?

OP is talking about acs shocks though and not just springs.

To be honest for the price i’d just get bilstein coilovers.

A standard 335d can get shown up on most roads if you're pressing on

Ah the Hartside Pass... great road.

Done it many a time and you need some really sharp handling to push on... and good brakes!

Brakes would have been the next limiting factor.

There was not one car I had to pass in 30 miles and just a few the other way. Saturday at 6pm.....

Next time I do it i will have the ACS dampers and EBC yellow pads fitted.
