New 335xd or 340i touring, still possible? Best prices?
Another bun in the oven and the usual nightmare to find a used BMW with electric seats begins.
Or half decent spec full stop. It seems either a chap in Lancashire buy all the good spec stuff and sells for £££, or you’re left with dealer spec (no options) low mileage stuff at near new prices. So I’ve been thinking about just buying a 3er as I’d like it and having done. My wife loves our 335xd, as a family car I think it’s fine too. I can’t imshine what other car I’d buy to fill the same role. Is it too late to order one? Will I be able to get a mega deal, even on a well optioned car? Just thinking out loud for now but have been watching autotrader for weeks to no avail. |

Still available on https://www.bmw.co.uk/configurator so assuming you can still order a new one. The configurator shows both the 335xd and the 340i touring.

Yeah a few. No AUC though. So a lot of cash for older cars with higher miles without decent warranty.
I paid £28,000 for a 4.5k mile 66reg (1yr old) with similar spec (high basic + men seats) in Oct 17. Paying £30k for a similar age 30k mile private sale (tanzanite top spec one on AT) with 6 months BMW warranty is a bit much really. I’d rather buy new and have 3yr warranty and exact spec I want, all considered... which is kinda why I am where I am with this. I’m not paying a premium for an old one when I can just buy new and get exact spec and a new car with warranty etc. Does anyone know when they’ll stop doing the Tourings? I might give that dealer guy who does generally good deals a shout (seems to do lots of 140i on baby bmw forums) |

Assuming you're talking about TRL? If yes, also try David King (he also works at Berry BMW alongside TRL). His email is bimmerdeals@outlook.com. And if looking for AUC, then it's hamzah.dar@berrybmw.co.uk.
And during your search, if you come across a cracking deal on a 440i GC (pre-September 2018), let me know! |

I was in Sytner Leicester last week and they have amendable build slots for F31 335D’s and there are also quite a few stock cars available if you don’t mind pot luck on the spec or colour.
I wanted folding mirrors and pano roof as a minimum and there was only 1 car available that wasn’t black ! They were looking at 20% off list for starters and offered a decent part ex for my car. But the price to change was still over £17k which I thought was too much for an F31 when the new touring is only months away.

I’m fairly open on colour but don’t want black.
I like the idea of a white interior and pano to brighten it up a lot. Deffo want the usual M-sport+, Pro nav, comfort, etc. Then leccy seats. Then anything else is a bonus really. If I were to buy new I’d deffo get adaptive lights and dampers and hud for the relatively small extra outlay. And possibly merino and extended for fun. The basic leather is borderline ok, but again for the modest extra outlay when new it seems a no brainier for a keeper. 340i also a possibility, but the used selection of those is equally limited and even worse spec than 335xds! |
