Racechip problems

Just wondering if anybody had the same problem as me. Seems as if my Racechip doesn't work. I tracked the draggy runs 0-60 and stock I get 4.2 , sport mode 3.7 and the race mode is 4.1 (no tire spin) tried contacting Racechip they said that they updated my chip but only worked once.
Just to clarify , seems like sport mode works but race doesn't. Every once in a blue moon , race will decide to work. Any suggestions?

No issues here. your numbers suggest an install issue or something deeper.

What are your times with it completely uninstalled? (dont just change it to map zero).

Its all Ive run and I have had zero issues since first install back in Sept (91 octane). My car in no way is slower than stock as I swap maps out to fuel my love for the item at times.

No matter what the piggy should not reduce your power in Map 0 so I think you yank the whole thing out and run the car stock and see. If you have power back then it was install or the box. If you dont then its the car.

any other mods on the car??

Just mid pipe and axle back, i don't know maybe it's car. Maybe the bmw puts a block on leases for mods ? I dunno just a thought

But like I said I turn racechip off and run the numbers and get the exact same number if race was "on" which was 0-60 in 3.95 seconds and then sport is 3.6 .

But even if 0-60 was nothing, the Big different in 60-120 it hauls ass in race when it works. And that's what I need. Just haven dragged it yet in those times, but feels as if I don't need to do cause there's just that much of difference

Have you checked your vacuum lines on the axle back? If it was not plugged or reinstalled correctly you could be down on power.

Is that the electric valve system?

To be honest I feel like somehow that could be it

Yep, if the installer didnt plug the valves or reinstall them correctly you will have a slower car.

Irony:

My first F10 I got the Eisenmann and we didnt plug the lines (the exhaust didnt have valves)- man that car was a slug compared to what it was pre install. We plugged it and voila!!!

I'll have to check that out then, just don't know where they get plugged into, but I'm sure I can figure it out. But if that's the reason why does the racechip work sometimes then?

Im not sure about the correlation between the RC and the valves but it would appear thats the issue.

If your axle back has no valves, the lines from the front are probably just floating and need to be plugged or tied off. The shop should know this.

Hopefully it is, I had the eisenmann race and performance and it's been the same but performance never really did work, sometimes it be dead silent and then a second later after turning the button on and off it work , and the race has tangled wires at the moment .

Looking back I wish I would of just waited for the m performance exhaust

Nah you are good, your installer more than likely made the error. Just have the check and then have r33_RGSport fix the box.

I don't have my F90 yet, but I don't believe vacuum is used for the exhaust flaps anymore. I'm not sure what needs to be done, if anything, if you unplug the electrical connection to the flaps. Since the new system doesn't have the flaps, I don't think it would cause the car to run poorly. They've gone to electrical control of the waste gate on the turbo and there's no need for a vacuum canister anymore.

His case is weird.
I swapped the unit to another brand new that I pull it off the shelf, the took it for a spin around the block.
Came back and he said it is the same thing, still no power on map 7.
So, I am clueless too.
Could be that exhaust valve connector not being connected.
1 out of so many that have this issue.

I am planning to swap the harness (which I doubt it will make any difference) when he swing by again.

First test is to plug your bypass plug in and rerun the test. A pure stock M5 is much faster than the posted Dragy. My elevation is much higher than yours and pure stock I could easily hit 3.2
