Hello,

I've read some news that for new models after 10.2018 there will be a particulate filter, even if the models are not diesel.

Anyone here on the forum has a 540i or 530i with a particulate filter (bought after 10.2018) and can see any power differences?

From my limited understanding about cars, if you put a lot of filters on the car you will have lower power, because the engine is like an organism, you need to breathe in the power and breath out the power, but when you breathe out if you have a particulate filter it will slow it down.

Maybe this is just for the EU, not the USA, but I was curious about your opinion?

Yes new 540i's have a PPF in Europe - don't know if it applies to the US or not. Quoted power figures remain the same; don't know if real world power is affected though.
