Shadow Edition F31 and MPg
So i picked up my F31 shadow which is the same spec as the F31 i had before. I seem to get much lower mpg around <42mpg compared to my previous F31 which went up to 48.
Is there something special about the shadow edition compared to non shadow but same spec. wheels trims etc. |

Have you got the adblue edition? Are the tyres the same as your last car?
If it's a new car, as goodbyalfa says, it'll need around 10k to loosen up a bit. Mine is also averaging around 42, Shadow 335d F31, whereas my friend has a slightly older 335d F31 and he gets around 50. We're putting it down to his running 18" continentals and no adblue where mine is on 19" bridgestones and has adblue. His is also nearer 20k and mine around 6.5k...… mine's nicer though, his isn't a Shadow

Just posted on another old shadow edition thread.
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...8&postcount=24 Seeing a few 330d XD Shadows show up as having 306hp/600Nm (MPPK numbers) on BMW Used... could explain a difference in MPG too... if TRUE. |

I think you will find the increased mpg is due to the EGR mods done on later engines to reduce real emissions.
As the older cars have the EGR update most report higher fuel consumption. |
