A little ESYS assistance
After a long day at work I started my cold vehicle and smelled something burning followed by the headlights and several other items failing. Using ISTA+ I traced it to the FRM module and replaced it with one from another car. I have a working version of E-SYS and psdzdata lite, however it's been a year or more since I have used it.
With the new FRM module I can't inject the CAFD as it's from a different model and I'm sure the I-step is off. Does anyone have a link to the relevant directions for reprogramming just the FRM to my vehicle? Most I have found are for coding options. Also do I need the psdzdata full files for this? Thanks, Dan |

If you want to flash, you need the FULL Psdzdata,
As for FRM, F30 has no FRM. Only FEM_BODY. You want to flash your FEM? |

Thanks for the confirmation. The programming and coding on F30 forum is a little more active. The car itself is a F25.

It has a CAF file on it but it's from the donor F12 that is about 6 months newer than host car. After reading and activating the VO then reading the SVT, I get the error failed to get CAFs for SWE error.
In comfort mode after entering the I step shipm and target I-step it fails to calculate the KIS/SVT target. I get the errors. errors.txt I tried using an older psdzdata and a newer one but have the same errors. I also tried ISTA+ but from what I've found it still requires a ICOM cable to program. It would be nice to have headlights and turn signals back but this might be beyond my abilities. I'm assuming it's due to the I-step of the transplanted FMR being different from the I-step of the X3.
