Hey all.

Just replaced my e91 330d with an F31 335d. Loving it so far, but i've made the mistake of researching head units.

So i have an April 15 build, so I believe I'll have the NBT EVO. Definitely got the ID4 software on it.

I read a guide which said to pop the panel below the climate off and check the part number, but the head unit doesnt show, its a bit higher up than that.

Is there any way of telling 2GB/4GB other than taking more panels off?

If it’s ID4 then it’s NBT Evo, 2gb

Checked the map version. If it says "NBTEvo", then you have the Evo unit.

What’s the purpose of identifying your HU type, are you looking to upgrade features?

will ive got the 6" screen and it has a small crack in it, so im going to do the 8" if possible.

I'd like to swap out to get ID6 and android car play stuff, but its not a necessity and after retrofitting idrive in my e91 and it never being perfect, im not in a hurry to do that.

If you have the 6.5" then your do not have the NBT EVO (ProNav).

As Kitster says, the small screen is business nav so it's not NBT Evo, it will be EntryNav
