F30 LCI expansion tank cap

Should the cap on the smaller of the two coolant tanks be loose ? Mine is. Larger one is tight / pressurised.

Do you mean it can rotate/move a little, once tightened and 'clicked' in place?

Or is it not tightening?

It tightens but no click. Once on I can spin it back about 90 degrees before meeting any resistance. End of warranty check tomorrow so if it's not right I don't want to be fobbed off.
