To carbon fiber or not..
Hey guys,
So I'm starting to buy some exterior mods for my e92 335i and I'm wondering what route to go. It's jet black/black interior and I'm either going to go with the clean all black look, or the black with carbon fiber. I can either start it out and get the cf grilles, oem cf lip, csl cf trunk, etc. Or get the matte black grilles, oem lip, and frp csl trunk. Which direction should I go? Just for your info..my friend and I had a photoshoot of our e36 m3s. As you can tell, my m3 has no carbon fiber, and my friends has carbon fiber all over it. I think my car fills the "less is more" criteria, but I'm not sure if I should go that way with the 335i. (My car's turbo, his has every bolt-on imaginable) Since the pics I've added different headlights, Cobra seats, 4 pt-rollbar, Schroth belts, etc. My friend Luke's M3: My M3:

Avus M3 is unreal, just pure sex.
For your black car, i suggest you don't go overboard with CF pieces, i like the look but from love to hate it changes for me immideately once you put on big CF pieces (trunk, hood). I'd go for CSL trunk body color, keep the hood, and get CF slitters on OEM Mtech front, get CF diffusor on OEM Mtech rear, DO NOT do CF grilles but do CF roundels on wheels and body, and do Silver CF interior trim to lighten up that gloomy black interior. This would be perfect CF mod in my eyes for an all black car.

First, very nice e36's.
I'd say go the CF route, but not too much.

Luke invited me to hit up the next show with you guys, hes a pretty cool guy. Were you at Bimmerworkz in PA last month? i think i mightve seen your turbo E36 there. i was in the montego E92 on the end.
For the record, id say stealth out your E92, man! black on black on black FTW! |
