I'm glad it's missing. It seems there are quite a few complaints about rattles and noise from the panoramic sunroof on the X3, X5, Merc, and Audi forums.

I'll also say that I prefer the "hard" shade that slides back and forth versus the roller shade that is required on the pano sunroof. The hard shade has better noise and heat insulation in my opinion. I'm comparing an F10 to a X3 G01.

Even the non-pano sunroof creaks and squeaks. If I don't have my radio on I have to close the shade to block the noise. (Of course, it was fine initially - however it 'clunked' when closing, so the local dealer blamed it on leaves and twigs [car is garage 98% of the time thanks!] and "fixed it for free" and now it drives me insane.)

I like gizmos as much as the next guy but also have long term ownership considerations as I tend to keep cars for a long time.
