Does anyone have a system in their G30?
Got a wild hair and decided to put a system in my G30 like I had when I was a kid. 2x12 P3 Fosgates with a 1200w fosgate amp and a bunch of other goodies. Waiting for it to arrive from amazon. Anyone else put a system in their car? pics.

I would have gone with JL audio's myself in a BMW. Not sure what outputs are available off of the factory head unit, but you're most likely going to need an electronic crossover. One benefit of having an amp in a BMW is the battery is in the back!

With these cars you dont even need to run any wires to the head unit or engine bay. You can tap into the speaker wires in the rear with a LOC line out converter to get your signal. You battery is in the back like you said so power is right there. Everything the install guy has to do is right there in the trunk. Super easy.
Everyone has there brand they like to use, for me Rockford Fosgate is the sub I like to use. If I wanted to get fancy I would get some sundowns or the like. I know this isnt for everyone, but I am excited. My other cars are built for speed, less weight, or for hauling, so this is my have fun vehicle. So I have had it tuned, now system, next will be some different shoes. Have had the car for a year and just hit 2k miles.

Tapping into speaker wires for output is not a very clean signal. As an installer in my early 20s, trust me on this one. It will work, just won't be the cleanest sound |

Yeah I know but there isnt any way I am letting someone pull my dash out, lol. To combat the line noise I opted for 4g cables for everything and all cables are OFC even the rca cables. Not some flea market setup I promise lol.

Getting the head unit out isn't as difficult as you think, it just looks nasty when it's taken apart. Going to line out from the back of the head unit is your best bet - unless you listen to rap music where it won't matter! |

I added Alpine amp, changed out the subs and installed amp and audio control loc behind the trunk trim so nothing can be seen, also added the remote bass control knob and mounted up front by the steering wheel, don't have a pic of that, but the system sounds great now.
