The 330i lease payment I was quoted on 2/5/19 is laughable

So today BMW Darien, CT quoted us a lease price for a 2 wheel drive 330 Msport, white/black, with track handling package and navigation.

3 years, 12,000 miles

Just up front fees down

MSRP $52300

At invoice, 2000 lease incentive, 57% residual

$758/month

I could not help but laugh at the salesman. $758 a month for a 4 cylinder 3 series????? That's a joke.

My 2017 M3 competition package is $678/ month with no money down.

We've owned more than 20 new BMWs in this house. The 3 series is a nice car, but in pedestrian form $758 per month is laughable.

BMWFS subsidized lease is no longer available, or in other words, the lease prices are now back to normal.

It may take some time to readjust to the sugar withdrawal, but as reality sinks in, the strategy would be to either stop complaining about BMW lease, or move to another brand(which may have even more expensive leases than BMW), or consider buy-and-hold for 10-15 years.

And 20 new BMWs in your house have been all leases, right?

Why not find a car you enjoy, purchase it, naturally acquire some form of equity by virtue of purchasing it, and quit complaining about why you would have to burn more money than you already do by leasing..

#1 your price doesnt make sense, simple excercise plugging those numbers into a lease calculator (i used 55k to estimate a loaded 330, but you can add in actual MSRP of your build)... looks like they were not being truthful about invoice, looks more like MSRP plus they were keeping some of the 2K for themselves as additional profit

#2 you have a great deal on the M3, those deals will not return while the current profitability strategy is in place, moving into 2018/2019 bmw reduced residual values and raised money factor accross the board

That doesn't add up. I calculated $687.97 at invoice (7%) plus 2k in incentives. The residual is VERY low, but expected for a brand new model. BMW has pulled back residuals and raised MF's over the past 2 years which makes leasing less attractive to those who have leased prior to 2017. I personally wouldn't pay $700 for a 3 series. You could get into another M3 for around $800 with the incentives they are offering currently if you negotiate well.

I agree those numbers you were quoted don't look quite right.

Unless the below thread is wrong, the residual quoted is also incorrect for 12K.

I would run, and not walk, away from this dealer.

Sounds wrong, as I've got a 54,670 MSRP, and I am paying $580/month, Taxes + DMV only.

My deal is invoice MINUS rebate of 2k loyalty.

If you want my CA, he's outstanding and a NO BS type of guy. Super competitive with pricing, and knowledgeable. Let me know!

That's an incredible deal for a month 1 car.

Your deal is about in line with what my G20 lease is. My MSRP (including destination) is $52,620. My monthly payments at 10k yearly for 36 months is $509.82 with 2k down.

Would you be willing to post the details of your deal? Working the numbers a bit (assuming a 36m/10k mile lease) and a base MF of 0.00188, the Cap Cost on your car would have to be $48,200 to get a $580 payment. If $2k of this was the rebate that means your dealer let this car go for $50,200, which I think is below invoice. If so then I would think this is a great deal as these things are just coming off the boat.
