What do you think of this 530i?

Hi Guys,

I'm a new-bee to BMW. Recently get attracted on a 2017 530i Xdrive with Msport Pack. I found this one from a local private dealer. This one is put in their showroom for a while.
1. ODO showing 10k miles;
2. Nice price at 43k.
3.Carfax report is clean with two year warranty.
4.This one is imported from CANADA which is kindly concerning me.

Really appreciate for your opinions!

Thanks

Canada uses the metric system. Is the car set up for the English system?

Canada is still part of BMWNA, A? Anyway it should be fine but might have some advantages if it has the FULL ICON Adaptive LED lights. Maybe Canada allows VLD and no-dazzle options since US has them turned off.
Pretty sure these cars switch from metric to US by a simple iDrive setting. Add the last seven digits of the VIN into this site and you can see the original build info.

They confirmed that speedo will be converted to MPH and system too.
The whole electric SYS is English version I believe.

I absolutely love mine! 2017 530i Sportline bought nearly a year ago.

Mine is also Alpine White. Lovely car and a nice place to be.

Ask the dealer to give you a copy of the Davis report. That report lists in absolutely detail the history of the vehicle from the time it was built.

Also pay to have a trusty independent mechanic perform a full inspection of the car while placed on a lift. Best money ever spent.

If everything checks, I would definitely get it. Doesn't matter that the car was intended for the Canadian market.

Also, start your price bidding at $37K. Have fun negotiating!

You can change from metric to US in the iDrive display. Do not mess with having them change the digital display.

It's a printout that has the entire history of the car, build sheet, services performed, active warranties, etc. It is a snapshot of the vehicle.

So I just saw this on another post about Canadian cars into US. Not a show stopper but something to be aware of.
"All BMW imported from Canada will not carry its original ultimate care package and it is also not eligible to purchase any ultimate maintenance packages in US. Good thing is their warranty is carried over and extended warranty is also available."

Yes, we are looking at 2 different cars from same dealer. We are connected already. Hoping to find out more about these imports soon.
