Drop in filter K&N / BMC for better sound?
Would you guys install a $70 "high-flow" drop in filter just for some sound improvement? is the sound just louder turbo spool? or also louder BOV?
Taking into consideration there is no performance gain and less filtering (more dirt get through when compared to stock paper filter - less than 10 microns in size) K&N or BMC? I think BMC has a finer filter - (extracting particles down to 7 microns whereas K&N is 10 microns I think) |

Very happy w/ my BMC red filter. Slightly louder than stock.

I just got it a month ago. I will inspect it at 2K and clean it at 5K. Cleaning kits on ebay.
