New purchase coming up and i have some questions..

New to this forum but not to BMW. Currently have a 2003 330xi, moderately modded. I'm looking at a 12 335i with mppk. My question is, is the mppk tune going to keep me from another tune like bm3? Or can it be overwritten/ removed? I plan on DP, charge pipe, intercooler, etc... FBO i believe is the term.

Car is in great shape, white exterior red interior 75k miles so cal car it's whole life records from irvine bmw for the past few years entailing routine maintenance, trans services, driveline services and fuel system services. It's currently on a truck coming up to me in reno, nv.

You can flash over the MPPK. It won't get in the way. I just did mine using BM3. They claim I can flash back to my MPPK, but I have not tested this yet.

How many does your vehicle have?

Replacing the charge pipe with an aftermarket one before adding any tunes is highly suggested.

The vehicle in question has 75k. It already has the MPPK on it, though. I do plan on going FBO then tune. I was more curious about flashing over the MPPK which i see is fine.

I'm so excited to take this step up in vehicles.

You will undoubtedly have plenty of fun with this vehicle before and after the performance upgrades.

When OEM CP charge pipe on N55 engines fails, plastic residue could be sucked into the engine. At 75K miles, replacing it now - on target 335i vehicle - would be very prudent.
