Stock Exhaust vs M-Sport Exhaust

Hey guys, I am interested in getting the M-Sport exhaust for my M5. I was just wondering if it's worth getting and is it much better then the stock exhaust? Thanks in advance!

I drove a base M5 for a month (1,800 miles) and then switched to a comp (sport exhaust) and have had that for the last month (1,300 miles).

My only complaint about the base model was the exhaust wasn't...enough. This has fixed that problem. Well worth it to me.

I have the sports Exhaust on my F90 M5t and TBH largely can not be heard, the insulation is so good it hides the exhaust sounds. When pushing hard it sonds nice, at lower revs nothing much.

For the money and ease of install it is well worth it. From other posts it seems it takes 5k or so miles for carbon to build up in the entire system and the sound will get better with some time. X-pipe in place of the resonator is an option that has yielded better results for cheaper.

Thank you for bringing that up!
So is the resonator delete going to get Non Comp to Comp level?! Any drone ?! Any annoying noise?!

Most important what's the size of the X Pipe and why X pipe and not H pipe?! I did an X in my Audi S8 and it was louder but also rattled?!

Thanks

I ended up ordering the M-Sport exhaust. It's a cheap upgrade over other options. And again I like to keep pretty much everything OEM on my cars so this is a plus for me. I'm not looking for anything obnoxious so this I feel would be a nicer little upgrade for me over the stock exhaust. Thank you guys again for your thoughts and experiences!

I went with M Sport. Now the decision is Remus cat back or not. If so the M Sport will be for sale.

If y'all have any questions, I've have the m performance resonated mid pipe on the stock m5 and then added the eisenmann performance axle back with the m performance pipe and then now have the race eisenmann with the m resonated pipe

It's frustrating that the m sport exhaust was not a line item choice here in the US.

The msport exhaust combined with enhanced stock comp ecu burbles are awesome....loud on revs....and quiet when needed on startup at the press of a button.......I do like the active sound.....I did not on the f10 M5

How much is the m sport exhaust? I can’t find purchase options for the US... I may just do the new Dinan exhaust, 1) it sounds really good, 2) the dealer is Dinan authorized and can manage the install, and 3) given I purchased the extended warranty I figured i don’t want to deal with any possible warranty issues (which I know is unlikely but still...)

Was really hoping that m performance exhaust would come out, that sounded mean

Very worth it.

I just added the Dinan muffler and I think it fits the car perfectly. Not too loud but a great upgrade over stock.

Did you already get it installed? I read on the Dinan site it would be available to ship until today?

This is the exhaust. I ordered it through my dealerships parts department. I have a appointment for next Saturday to have it installed by them.

What about the rear mufflers ?
You won't get M Sport exhaust sound with same mufflers, will you?
