It's a SG 335i with hyper black VB3 CSL wheels. Staggered 19x8.5, 19x9.5

I am trying to decide on a wheel but it is tough. What do you think looks best on SG. Hyperblack or Gunmetal? The other wheel I am considering is the V710.

I personally prefer the hyperblack because it has that pearl finish.

thank you VMR! and colbin, i am in the same situation... i also seen the pic on VMR's site with the aluminum finish...im torn between the two... almost to the point im going to put the two on a piece of paper and do a random pick. the other problem is i tend to hit things on the road and worried i'll screw up the 19's.

Either/or 18's or 19's. But you don't really have to fear on problems with the 19's its actually interesting how maintaining a 19" wheel price has dropped so much - thanks to affordable tires. And besides 19's really look great on the e90/e92

Ty thats one of our customers cars I can get some more put up if OP wants. If you do a search there was a thread some months ago which was like 4 pages long filled with pictures(I am just horrible at finding it, maybe someone can help you find it).

You will be fine with a set of 19s. We have customers in NY and NJ, places that are notorious for terrible road conditions, on 19's with 35 and 30 profile tires. If I remember correctly, Maui has pretty luxurious roads so I don't foresee any problems. With that said, 18's would give you a bit more cushion if you are in very adverse conditions.

when i come to think about it, maui's roads are pretty damn nice compared to some roads i've driven on in the mainland. my only issue is i end up hitting random hard shit on the road and curbs(hit a curb on the other island the day i picked up the car). but since you guys seem certain the durability of those 19's are pretty stout i'll strongly reconsider. seriously, thanks for all your patience and time. i know im not the smoothest consumer to deal with at times haha.

i just found the thread with a bunch of VMR 18's. i really like the 18s(im a sucker). i like the proportional look of the 18s...i just really love the stance of the stock 335i sport package thats why. one question about the 18 version...do they sit on the car the same as the 19s or am i going to need spacers to make them look right?

Currently, we don't offer the 18" VB3 in all the same offsets as the 19" VB3. For your E90 you'd ideally want a 18x8.5 +40 front and 18x9.5 +33 or +30 rear. However, our 18x9.5 +33 is currently planned to be available by mid August and only in silver at the moment. So, if you want to stick with 18" hyper black, you'll have to go with a 18x9.5 +45 rear and add 15mm spacers. We can supply 15mm spacers at an additional cost no problem. This would make the 18" wheels sit just like the 19" VB3s.

But, like everyone has been saying, you'll just fall in love with the 19" VB3s. We still carry our 19x9.5" hyper black VB3 wheels in +30. This will just absolutely sick on your E90. You'll have to worry about curbs on 18" just as much as 19"...same with random stuff. Hitting random debris with 18" or 19" isn't going to be much of a difference, so bite the bullet and go for the 19s

ahhh...im thinking about getting the silver finish so i guess it wont be much of a problem? one last question. is the performance difference between the vb3 18's and 19's noticeable? if its a fairly large amount(eg, running even with a car then losing noticeably with 19's). if so then im sold on the 18s haha since i will not have a second set for the strip.
