Tyre pressures for winters
Chaps
I've got my winter tyres fitted to the 18's. 225's on both the 8J fronts and 8.5J rears. Just wondering what the recommended tyre pressures are when running winters in square? Ta |

if I am not mistaken, tyre pressure label should mention the correct pressures for winter tyres (M&S).
I do not believe it would be very different if label's information is based on wider rear tyres. Imagine that for my ed with factory 16" and all square in front and rear, label again was giving a pressure difference of 0.2-0.3 between front and rear ones. I would say if your label recommends for 255 rears a pressure of 2.7, you could drop it by 0.1 since you wear thinner ones

I have 225/45 18's square winter set up and mine are all set to 2.4 bar. Normally run 19's Staggered Summers on 2.2 front and 2.6 rears.

I have 225/45 18's all round, using 8.0j front wheels and 8.5j rear wheels.
I use the same as my summer pressures, 32 psi front and 35 psi rear as per the plate. Put my winter tyres on the car on Christmas Eve....now it's going to be 12 degrees on the weekend 😣 |
