Thumbs up Here's My UK Spec Beauty!!!

Picked her up on Saturday and I was in awe when I first saw her. She is gorgeous. I will treasure this car and have many many miles of driving pleasure. My UK spec is:

330i SE manual
Titanium Silver
Sports Suspension
18" 162 alloys
Xenon Headlights
No Model Inscription
Sports Steering Wheel
Black Dakota Leather
Sport Seats
Matt titanium interior finish
Park Distance Control (Front and Rear)
Professional Sat Nav
6 Disc CD Changer
Chrome Twin Exhaust Covers
Floor Mats

Really pleased with the car, its awesome and drives like a dream. The idrive is great. I don't know what the fuss is about. It took about 1 min to get the hang of it. Its so easy to use! I love it! The sat nav is brillliant too, takes me to the very doorstep of all my friends and family. I love the car, the power is awesome and its so smooth and quiet. The sports suspension and 18" alloys provide a lovely smooth ride. Glad I got the manual, it adds so much fun to this car and I love being fully in control of the gear changes. Really really pleased!

The last pic by the way is my car parked outside my house!

You Brits.....always showing off your castles. My car arrives in a couple of weeks. I think I'll post a picture with a 20-foot saguro cactus! No, seriously, beautiful e90. Congrats.

MP3 CD's work, and you have iDrive?!?!? The Professional iDrive at that! Can we see some screenshots of whatever the screen displays when you play mp3 CD's (artist, song title, album, etc). Thanks.

Also, I'm guessing you played them through the CD changer accessory, not the in-dash CD player, right?

Yes, I have Pro Nav. Played them through the dashboard CD player. Will try in the CD changer and let you know. The Screen showed track name.

Professional iDrive/Nav.... mp3 CD's successfully played... through the in-dash CD player....

Just so I don't faint, I want to cover all the basics again. You have Professional iDrive/Nav as we see from the pictures, ok. You played from the in-dash CD player, ok. So, were these infact mp3 CD's, or in other words, CD's only containing mp3 songs? Audio CD's burned from mp3's are not considered mp3 CD's. MP3 CD's can contain hundreds of songs/mp3's. Audio CD's burned from mp3's contain about the same number of songs as CD's you buy in the store (high teens to low twenties).

If in fact you played true MP3 CD's in the in-dash CD player of your Professional iDrive equipped BMW e90, then, you are the first person I know to successfully do this because all the literature and online posts so far say that mp3 play capability is not available for the in-dash CD unit of iDrive equipped e90's.

I hope this is true and is the case. But the pessimist in me tells me your experience is of playing an audio CD burned from mp3's. And the song title that displays comes on in the left hand bottom corner, like in picture sharp1183 has posted before (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=990), which he said was from a mix CD he made, but was not a mp3 CD.

Very nice beauforty.
I'm expecting my 330i SE in September. Same spec, but with Aluminium trim instead of Matt titanium.
As RedStripe asks, are you sure you were playing a 'proper' MP3 disc and not an audio CD made using MP3s beauforty?
Have you tried playing MP3 discs in the CD changer yet?

If you did use MP3 discs & they did work, then I'm going to start development of my 'Running in my e90' MP3 disc right now!
Cheers.

Sorry guys, it was an audio CD burned from MP3's. Don't think I've ever had a "proper" MP3 disc. Still not tried the changer but imagine it would play the CD fine if the dash CD played it ok.

I'll asked my mates for a proper MP3 disc

Right.....just come back from my local BMW dealer.

Tried a "proper" MP3 CD on an E90 without Navi and it worked perfectly. I was able to List all the MP3's stored on the disc etc.....

Tried it on a Navi-Pro system (with 6 CD changer) and nothing. Didnt recognise the disc when it was in the slot loader or the changer.

Asked them about iPodYourBMW (www.ipodyourbmw.com) for UK E90's and they havent even heard of it.......

Looks like we either have you wait for a s/w update for Navi-pro or wait for an aftermarket solution.
