During the winter months, I used to leave the car running to warm up.

But also lock the doors in order to stop an opportunist their hopping in and driving off.

The M40i does a double horn beep of you leave it running and lock it, which will not be very popular with neighbours.

Is there anyway to disable this horn beep?

Should be in your settings. I can't remember if in there or if it's something you have to code. But yes, if someone else doesn't chime in before I get home tonight, I'll run you through it.

I too would love to hear if there is a fix for this! Been using it reluctantly for same purpose and at quick pitstops like Redbox drop-off's, etc, in the winter.

Also, what happened to our rumored remote start software update?

Also is there a way to lock the doors and keep a pet in the car while you get a coffee (during cool season)? I did this last week and came out the lights were flashing (no sound).
