Weird Software issues

Hello fellow fanatics

So 2 weird issues, wondering if anyone has had them and if any solutions have been found

1- Radio presets get deleted , its happened 3 times over the last year. Totally random, i start the car and they are all gone

2- My Franrence setting is default to off, even after i keep setting it to on - i start the car and its off. (i have put in 2 new cartridges)

Super random issues, the car has been bullet proof so far.

Number 1 could be that you received updates and that reset everything. Or possibly doing some coding? If not, I would suspect a bad battery and would get it tested.

Number 2, how did you get the fragrance package? Our X4 M40i is fully loaded but no fragrance package nor is it available on the list in the car's menus.

Are you using the same key every time? Each key/profile has it's own presets.

Some coding operations can also cause presets to be deleted.

The Fragrance packages are only available in Canada, and not the US. Not sure why BMW made this limitation, but it's disappointing. In the US, you can buy the accessory that manually clips into the air vents:

It works pretty well, but definitely not as cool as the integrated fragrance package in other markets.

Yeah I'm definitely using the same key and I haven't done any coding.

Maybe I'm the first to experience these issues . Curious to see if it comes up for anyone else.

Only the chosen people get the sweet smell of boxed mass produced fragrances for $50 a pop.

Well if they offered them in California, it would be known to cause cancer which is why they probably don't offer it in the states...
