Front windscreen questions
The other morning when it was frosty, I noticed the area around the two KAFAS cameras, it was clear, no frost around there. I wonder if there are some heating elements around there?
I have read somewhere mentioned that if the car has HUD, it is using a special kind of glass in the front windscreen, which avoided the double projected images of HUD in normal windscreen. Also read somewhere that if the car has stereo KAFAS (the two safety cameras) behind the centre mirror, when replacing the front windscreen, the re-calibration of the KAFAS cameras might be required. If you are in the UK, have you had your front windscreen replaced? Does Auto-Glass replace like-to-like front windscreen for HUD? Do they calibrate the KAFAS cameras, or did you bring the car back to BMW to re-calibrate? |

I had the screen replaced on my F10 which had HUD. Autoglass replaced it with a Pilkington one, I experienced no problems at all with it, they did all the work.
