Scottzero Series 2 265/35R19 & 285/35R19
I don't know what I'm doing. I know everyone says narrower tires are better for winter, but there are a few reasons I think that's not true. Also, I'm getting coilovers installed in January and will be running 265/285 in the summer, so figured I'd get 265/285 winter tires so we can adjust the suspension properly.
Anyway, I just got these in the mail today and they are MASSIVE. Here they are compared to the stock 245/265 continentals. The contis are mounted on 437m wheels, not sure if that makes a difference to how they appear, but wanted to mention it incase. |

It’s not a bad play. I think if you’re not dealing with bad snow it doesn’t really matter if you don’t go a narrow winter tire. To me it’s more important to have the winter tire for the low temp rubber so you’re not sliding about all over the place. I spec’d square 255’s on 18’s and the same rims will turn into my track setup on square 275’s in summer. I am also adding coilovers and I think you’ve done yourself a favour in that you’ll be able to dial them in with the same size rubber summer and winter. Gonna be a little more difficult for me given my street setup is the staggered 437m’s in the same spec you mentioned and then also trying to cater for my 18inch track setup.
