Saying Hi! '19 M5 Comp on the way
I recently took my '14 M6 CP offroading, which resulted in it being totaled So I bought a '19 M5 Comp which should arrive in a week or two. I wanted to say hi to the M5 forum folks!
My M6 had piggyback chip and exhaust (as well as various cosmetic changes), but I want to hear the competition exhaust and see what I think. I'd also love to get a full tune instead of a piggyback this time around, but may wait a bit to see what puts down good numbers and give some time to see what lasts without breaking things Anyhow, Hello! |

From the video...
"You can't blame the driver when you're dealing with conditions like this" Ummmm, actually, yeah you can. Sorry about your car, but from the video it looks like everyone was either close to or exceeding their ability as a driver. Out of curiosity, why remove the wrap on site? Worried about insurance coverage?

FWIW I had nothing to do with the video, making, or posting. The fellow who did wasn't even on the rally (just following along) and wasn't there when the crash happened. I certainly never said I wasn't to blame, although given the details of what happened I think I did quite well. Not at all sure what you mean about people at their limits as drivers given you're looking at an edited video, that doesn't show the crash, and you don't know the people but okay.
I'm not a retired HPDE instructor, but I've certainly spent a lot of time on tracks, as have many of the people on the rally. Thanks for the friendly welcome lol. |

My comment about blame wasn't towards you, it was in regards to what the gentleman on the video said.
As for comments about drivers and their limits... public streets are not the place for exhibitions of speed. That is exactly why we have track events to go to. Still curious why everyone was working so quickly to remove the wrap and "Rally" decal. My guess, and this is only a guess, is that you were concerned that insurance wouldn't cover the wreck if they knew you were on a rally.

Come on. He invited these types of comments when he said he went "off roading" and then actually posted that video.
It's a message forum. Of course we are going to give him shit. That's what the internet is for, isn't it? Well, that and porn of course.

It's easily found if you look on YouTube.
I won't repost it though.

Am looking forward to performance and appearance mods and tweaks to make it "mine", but want to drive it a bit first and see what I think and what I want. Hopefully will arrive by Wednesday (but we'll see). |

Only mods so far are tints, Xpel PPF and front and rear reflector deletes; KW HAS sitting in the garage waiting on wheels to arrive. Enjoy the new car in good health and post some pix.
