Winter is coming. Selecting wheel set up

I have a M550i and have been trying to select a winter setup. not wanting to invest a get deal of money seeing as they are only to used for harsh weather. so going aftermarket on the rim. The easiest choice is 19x8.5 and then running a 245/40/19. I would be fine with 19x8 bit that is not as common. so i found and ordered last night. But then they guy calls back saying all he has available are 19x9. the offset is 30mm. Looking for for some advice. I did check the tire manufacturer which that size tire will fit all the way up to 9.5in. and the wheel guy doesn't see in issue with a 9in rim in the front. he offered to send a spacer for reassurance.

As you all that live in the northern hemisphere having as narrow as possible is better. And lastly i have dragged my feet of this decision as i woke this morning to freezing rain. So the question is except the 19x9. or try and return before they are shipped and keep looking. what rim sizes is everyone else running?
