M4 CP vs M5 CP

Hello everybody!

I currently own an M4 CP and thinking to switch to M5 CP next year via ED.

Was wondering if anybody has switched to M5 from M4 and what are your thoughts about it. M5 doesn't feel too big? Will i miss the smaller feel of M4?

Any thoughts appreciated!!

thank you

I made the switch. my M4 was running a JB4 and MHD back end flash on E40 when I traded it in.

The M5 doesnt really feel bigger, it stops and handles just as good in 8/10th driving. The power delivery is much smoother and the overall its much more refined. it feels like a better car for sporty daily driving, where the M4 just wants to have fun all the time. - for me it just makes more sense to have the AWD, 4 doors and added comfort. I dont think you'll have any second guesses after you drive one.

Also once you tune the M4 its useless below 40mph without serious tires.

The M5 is a far superior car in anyway. It is less fun as it feels more bloated and more refined (you don't really have the same connection with the road and speed). Other than that it is vastly superior in everything. I don't own an M4, but I drove it pretty extensively, and I hated it. The M5 on the other hand is my all time favourite car. I JUST F***** LOVE IT!

I owned 18' CP M4 and here is the good and bad things.
Good about it:
It looks much better for me I had individual color see picture
It was MT
Handling corners really good

Bad about it:
Traction issues when the temperature drops below 60F and specially when it rains.... you stop on busy street where you need to cross, boy you better wait

Good about M5:
M5 is just much more luxury more powerful and the best thing is AWD it can put the power down. It hides the weight pretty damn good, handles corners almost as good as M4

Bad about it:
Not as good looking and very expensive

I can only say I'll miss the punch downshifting on dct. M4 being more nimble lets me throw car into tight cuts on freeway and exit without hesitation. Other than that, I love the comfort and smooth power distribution on the f90. No looking back no regrets haha
