Lowered Car = Rear Restraint System Malfunction?

I had my car lowered last month which requires the full back seats to be removed. After everything was reinstalled, it threw a "Rear Restraint System Malfunction" error.

My Indy contacted BMW and they were told that they have seen other F90/G30s models throw that fault code. The required part was the "Rear Seat Belt Tensioner" which of course was on back order for 3-4 weeks.

Well it finally came in last Thursday - I was told the car would be ready the same day. A few hours into the drop off, I was told the incorrect part was ordered but the correct one will be here next day (no more back order I guess?).

The next day (past Friday), I was told everything was installed but the fault code would not go away after trying to clear it so the car needs to be fully reprogrammed which will take another hour or two. Couple of hours later, I got a call stating the car is throwing faults for everything (clutch, etc) and that a new system module is required which will arrive Monday. I questioned the availability of this module and was assured its available in the US.

Today (Monday), I get a call midday stating I was right to question and that the module is not available. It is expected to come by the end of the month but good news is that they reprogrammed the car and that all the fault codes that were popping up are gone except the same one I brought the car in for.

I got the car back with literally nothing done except my M1 & M2 buttons configurations changed. My seat setting are still programmed and my phone still connected via Bluetooth so not sure if a full re-program was even done to the car. I complained about break squeal and the service document states they removed rear brakes, added anti squeak grease to the pads and the problem was gone. I drove the car and the squeal was still there.

Anyone else who has had their car lowered run into something like this? Now awaiting for a new ACSM module - attached a pic of the service order and what is ordered.

What suspension are you running? I'm about to have my car lowered (KW HAS).

I've not read anyone else on here report this issue, at least not that I recall.

I have had the same issue the first time I mess around with my G30 suspension.
I had to move the car while the rear seatbelt tensioner disconnected. Man, that error sticks like peanut butter.
After drive a few miles or even unplugging the battery doesn't clears it.

So I have to use the ISTA+ to scan and clear it.
It went away and never comes back.

@josec70 from what shayan30 told me, I am sure this was caused by the installer.
Maybe he forgot to plug it in or power up the car while seatbelt tensioner was unplugged.
Or also maybe the wire got damaged.

I am lowered on KW HAS.

I assume something was done during the install which caused this part to malfunction . Haven't had anyone else so far report anything to this nature.

Both the Indy and the dealer tried this but didn't seem to work. The service advisor said it most likely wasn't the tensioner and that the module might be the issue which is what the test plan says to replace next.

I have suspicion it is the wires. I might got snagged or pinched and broke inside.

Mine is lowered and we didn't have any codes at all. My guess is they turned the vehicle on while things were unplugged, which will throw a code every time. Sucks man... hope they get you fixed up soon!

Reads like you might have better luck throwing bones and chanting about a fire on a full moon to clear these codes up.
