Does changing wheels mean changing suspension?

I've read a few articles that say if I change from 18" run flats to no run-flats, I have to have the suspension re-tuned. But I've additionally read that since I have a 335xi, the AWD doesn't have a specially tuned suspension, and I can just change the tires. Can anyone verify the correct info please? Thanks.

The RFT's are like rocks and many people get rid of them for that reason. I don't think they alter their suspension JUST on a count of that. I'm sure the sidewall of the RFT is MUCH stiffer than the non-RFT so that would possibly introduce more understeer ***I THINK***. Others please edumacate us...

I've never heard of HAVING to do anything with your suspension just because you're switching from runflats to regulars.
