I'm looking at buying the BMW OEM reversing camera retrofit kit and thinking of installing it myself (then taking it in to the dealership for final coding afterwards). Has anybody done this themselves yet and if so, could you post any further info on here? Thanks.

Thanks pingu. I came across your post and the instructions were also really useful. One of the attractions of doing it myself was the ability to plug the cable into the 'ethernet switch' in the front footwell (as per the instructions), however after spending a couple of hours this morning searching for the ethernet switch, I couldn't locate it and the dealership couldn't help either. I've therefore decided to go down the route of a Nav TV install and have it fitted by a professional.

Out of interest, did you ever come across the ethernet switch?

I have navigation professional so did not need to connect to it are you sure you have navigation business?
