Conflicting mpg readings

Hi folks, sorry if this is well known already but I see different mpg readings from the trip computer - that is, I see one mpg value in the iDrive "My vehicle" tile, and a different mpg value shown on the instrument cluster. Any idea what the difference is?

As you have two computer mpg functions, is it simply a case of the cluster showing the OBC, iDrive the trip computer?

If it is like the F10/11 setup, what you see can depend on whether both computer features were (or are) reset together, or you have the auto reset for the trip/journey computer. For example, some users leave the OBC for long term mpg, but have the trip/journey mpg resetting automatically for every (delayed) start.

@HighlandPete is right. It's Onboard Computer which is long-term and Trip Computer data. IDrive shows the trip computer and digital dash shows the OBC.

Ah nice one, makes sense. Thanks guys.

Incidentally, the mpg numbers so far after a week of zipping around Edinburgh in a rhodonite silver 540i xDrive m/s are about the same as my old F80 O_o maybe my heavy right foot is the problem after all!
