door hinge bolt fell out

on my 2015 two series noticed bolt fell from upper drivers door hinge, 13mm head and I'll probably start tightening them periodically.

I looked at mine today for whatever reason and wondering to myself, why would a car with "german engineering" put a bolt in that way.
