Bay Area:No one wants to sell me their 06 325i!!!
I've send quotes via email to a few dealers (6) in total back in late Feb.
I've only gotten 2 quotes back. What's the deal no one around here wants to take me money??? Can some of you Bay Area people help me out? |

Well I don't like to talk to these guys face to face, when I bought my 04 330ci I did everything via email, got quotes initially then narrowed it down to a few then once I decided who I was going with I asked them to fax me that quote with their signature on it and I'd mail them a deposit. Worked like clockwork, the only time I actually saw the dealer was when my car arrived. I only spoke to him on the phone a few times to find out if my car was on schedule.
And yes I did get a quote from him already which was $1,200 above invoice. I want to gather a few more so I can come back and tell him some others are showing this and what if any he can go down further on. |

Did you send private emails to the dealer or did yo use a service like edmunds or similiar? If you use a service, they will email you back with quotes. I do all my car buying this way.

i think these days with so much fraud out there... dealers don't take emails that seriously. my dad dealt with dealers over email when he first inquired about the car, but they called and confirmed everything before actually starting to negotiate price and options. as for me, i live so close to the dealer, i get a much better response by jsut dropping by on teh way home from work. i think sometimes they might get annoyed at me cuz i'm there all the time... hahaha. but going there gets teh ball rolling quicker. you get your questions answered, and you get faster responses.. also it's less impersonal... i think that's really an advantage (as long as you don't get intimidated easily) because you can feel out what the dealer is thinking.
