I tried searching first...

So we had the first service done to our m40i and everything was fine until 200km ago and we got a service oil light again. It has maybe 1200km since the oil change. So my question is how do I reset the oil life? I am 500km from the nearest dealer. Tried to go through idrive and tried holding down the bottom left dash button that worked on the last gen. Is there another sequence for the g01?

I had that on my MINI once. Just take it back to the dealer and let them know they forgot to reset the oil mileage.

Try this for G Series:

here is what you have to do...

1. press the Start/Stop button 3 times repeatedly.
2. the car will switched on.
3 hold the reset button on the cluster menu
4. the service menu will appear, then you can reset
