Removing dealer badge from trunk
The dealer put their badge on the trunk of my car. I did a search and saw a recommendation to use dental floss to remove the badge. I've also heard a hair dryer works. Any recommendations so I don't screw up my new baby?

That's so tacky when dealers do that. In cali I think they would get a beat down for something like that.

Heat and dental floss should be more then enough. If you are still scared, put some goo gone on it before you use the floss and it will be even easier to get off.

first thing you should do is go up to your dealer and slap them for putting something so ugly on such a beautiful car. then use dental floss and a heat gun. Good luck!

I would probably force the dealer to remove it. Fortunately it seems most BMW dealers just go with the license plate frame with their name on it which is much easier to ditch.

Luxury cars should not have this crap... Some of the Lexus dealers in Denver do this with stickers. My dad ordered a LS460 and they found one that matched his order in Denver and shipped it here, with a dealer sticker on the back. I can't believe that they would put stuff like that on an $80,000 car.

This is why so many people should do their homework before taking delivery.
Always, always, always tell them in advance that you do not want any 3rd party stickers, badges, etc. on your car. And if you don't want front plates tell them before it's too late and they drill the holes. Make them put it in writing and if they screw up they will have to accommodate you. |

That looks horrible. I've seen a lot of E90's with the dealer badges around here. Most people don't even notice so the badge goes untouched.
Remove it with some floss and goo-gone. |

I told my dealer not to put any stickers on my car when they do their PDI which they followed. Of course, I forgot to also tell them not to use their logoed license plate holders. Now I'm too lazy to go change them.
