2019 X3 M40i Delivery tire pressure

Just picked up this car last week and the tire pressure seems to be way too high at 39 psi front and 45 psi rear cold.
The numbers show at the door are 33 psi and 38 psi rear cold.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

Are you looking at the loaded or unloaded pressures on the door?

I usually inflate the tyres to somewhere between the two figures.

TPMS isn't always accurate. So double check with a quality meter. I once got my car back from the dealer and my tire pressure was 50psi! Idiots.

Got mine with 40-42 psi on all 4.
Got a new M2 Competition yesterday with 40psi fronts and 38psi rears.
Probably factory over-inflate for shipping?!

Did you adjust it or leave them as is?

It always comes over inflated from the factory, or at least that has been my experience.

Cars are always shipped with the tire pressure high, and it's often left high while the vehicle sits on the lot (to avoid flat spots). It should be lowered before delivery. ANd if you're like me and live in an area with frequent seasonal temperature changes, you will probably be adjusting pressure monthly.

My TPMS reads low (by 2-3 psi) compared to an AccuTire digital gauge I have. I want to get another gauge for a third opinion to see which is right. TPMS can be calibrated to a known pressure if it's determined that is the issue.

The pressures are high from the factory. They should have. Been adjusted during the pdi. Just correct it with an accurate tore gauge. Don't rely on the tps monitor readings.
