agree the exterior is confusing esp the grill and rear bottom
really like the interior minus the steering wheel
tho the bulbous non-msport steering wheel of the prev gen was not so great
so the net is the interior looks good

Clarkson wouldn’t have done a review based on just sitting in one at a car show.

The only thing that matters now is button material quality, speck count and lease/balloon credit payment structure.

Back in my day... look at the vast differences in the characterstics of various compact executive-type cars available:

Citroen DS/CX
Renault 20/30
BMW 3/5 series
Peugeot 505/604
Mercedes W123
Audi 80/100
Volvo 144/164
Alfa Romeo 2000

In the next 20 years, the designers of BMW, Merc, VW, Audi, Alfa (if they're still going) and with a following wind, Volvo will have settled on one car design that does everything one way. AWD, electric, fully autonomous capability, and the same aerodynamic shape and interior ergonomics to suit 4 or 5 seated home sapiens. The only thing you have to choose is the badge, to determine what your brand choice says about you. I love the future.

"Is the new BMW 3 Series saved by its interior?"

Were my very first thoughts about the G20. I think (hope) interior and driving dynamics are going to be the highlights of the G20. Unfortunately, not the exterior, which is not bad, but doesn't appear to be a head-turner.

And yet you’re not driving a Hyundai. I’m old enough and driven enough different cars to say without a doubt we now have it better than we ever thought possible.

And I’m really looking forward to the future. Next spring to be exact.

If I needed reliability above all else, I would!

The Hyundais and Kias of this worlds are converging on a design singularity as well, early pattern formation suggests alignment with Mercedes Benz...

My point is that people think they can provide a worthy "review" based on button count and speck. For a lot of people, that's what they worry about. The centre console of a Kia Optima looks a very great deal like the one in my 2...
