Question for those familiar with BBS
Can anyone comment on the BBS RX wheel (18x8)? I definitely like the look (and the price) of it, but is it a good quality wheel?
Thanks in advance. |

I remember my old 17" RX's to be soft, so unless they changed the manufacturing process or materials from back in the day, they will bend pretty easily.

BBS makes awesome wheels, but id be a little wary if the price is a good deal lower than others. its probably made differently and therefore softer

Thanks for all of the feedback guys. I'd be ordering the wheels from Tirerack and they are around $370 per wheel. It says they are a 1 piece low pressure cast construction (not forged). But it looks like BBS offers quite a few different wheels that are cast, not forged. Forged = $$.

I have the RX on my 6.9 Benz, they've been on the car since 2003 and have already gone through one set of tires. Crashed through some pretty bad stuff while wrapped in 45 profile rubber and no problems whatsoever.

I had the same set of wheels...17" RX and definitely true with them being soft. I bent 3 of them in my old e36. Damn Cali freeways.

That's no good . I'm not going to cough up the money if they are soft and prone to damage. Shouldn't the BBS wheels be as strong if not stronger than OEM? |
