M5 F90 with piggy back tune vs Huracan Spyder

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hi
Yesterday we tried M5 F90 with piggy back tune vs my Huracan Spyder.
at high speeds M5 is waaay faster.

100-300 is ~22s for M5 (this is F12 Berlinetta theritory)
and ~25seconds for Huracan Spyder (fast, but just not enough)

race video below

Not a good idea apparently, Damon from Daily Driven Exotics did it to his Huracan but changed it to a supercharger.

I don't care what some kid with an IG page does, lol.

Bunch of twin turbo cars running around without issue — supercharger is pointless and slow, just stay NA at that point.

Ok I guess it can depend on which stage is done, looks like you can get up to 1200whp with pump gas, or 2200whp with race gas!!

Yeah the two options aren't really comparable; that's why things like those kids are irrelevant because they just go with whatever is sponsored, he isn't spending $100k to twin turbo his car when his supercharger is free.

I have a tt r8v10, personally I wouldnít do it again unless the car is only to be used for straight line performance. Changes the characteristics of the car a LOT, build time is significantly longer, and is less reliable than any of the available supercharger options. Donít get me wrong, I love my first gen R8 but for anything other than half mile events or pulling on just about anything on the freeway itís supercharger all day, the huracŠn and r8 on vf blower are capable of high 9 seconds so definitely not slow.

But back on topic; thatís nuts, Iíve done high speed rolls in a 2nd gen r8 v10 plus versus a modded hellcat and it did not pull this hard. Just makes me want a new M5 even more!

good comparison and good races. I always people a m5 can best the more exotic cars on a roll race. I've done it plenty of times and smile all day. would I still want a Ferrari. heck yes. who wouldn't. it's not all about who can beat who. at some point style and class comes into play. great races there brother for both cars.

Warsaw man. Warsaw, only the city with the best looking women, freedom, great empty roads and horrible government.
