Kinda strange but it looks like there was room to live in that car. I wonder if she wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

Relooking at the picture, is the driver's half of the windshield and frame missing?

Sympathies to her family.

Ban trees

edit: anyone notice the harshness of the impact that the rear half of the car got bent?

That's unfortunate, but I'm more curious as to what happened. I'm pretty familiar with that area and that on-ramp is not even remotely dangerous.

The article said off-ramp. I don't live their but usually it's easier to hit an off-ramp at deadly speed than to accelerate to deadly speed on an on-ramp.

Not good. One of the kids I graduated high school with did the same exact thing in an e46 M3 in CT. It was his dad's car and he was doing 90mph or so when the car met the tree. Needless to say there is a memorial golf tourney at the local CC in his honor

the report said the car bounced up in the tree, I guess it hit so hard that back of the car flipped up on one of the branches and thats how she got crushed.

To quote someone that probably knows better about it than myself...it's "one hell of a drug."

But mad props to the lady for trying to do something about it. Says she rode too... wonder what kind of bike she had.
