Any order Night Vision with Pedestrian Detection?

I was wondering if anyone is ordering the BMW Night Vision, stand-alone or in combination with the new Laser Light?

As far as I know it is possible to order both.... Does it make sense though? If the laser light goes almost half a mile, do I still need Night Vision?

I plan on ordering it with mine, even with the Laser Lights it will still be nice for me as I drive in a semi-rural area where by 8pm (dusk) you have deer at the sides of the road, and even with the increased lighting it will be nice to have that extra "set of eyes". Unfortunately in the U.S. we get the reduced version of the Laser Lights and we don't get the Dynamic Light Spot, but from what I hear some coding will be able to change that.

What do you mean by that, reduced version of laser lights? What is different about the American version?

On the i8, the US version of the Laser Lights was a reduced version/range of what was offered in other countries due to legal/DOT regulations. My understanding is that probably hasn't changed much for the X5, but I haven't been able to find specifics for the US version of the X5.

In the G05 launch release, it shows a range of 500m for the Laser Lights, however that is for the Euro models. On the Build Your Own site and the X5 page on the US BMW site, all I could find about the Laser Lights was "This lighting technology pushes the boundaries and provides maximum output allowable for the United States."

Of course, the US most likely will have not have the Adaptive High-Beam Assistant and Variable Light Distribution without needing to code those as well.

I ordered the package with the Laser Light and also Night Vision.
Lots of wildlife here and I really dislike driving in the dark because I'm worried about hitting wildlife.

We have Night Vision on an '18 F15. It has seen 1 deer about 12k miles, and missed maybe 100. I am on the whether or not to add it to the G05, but leaning towards NO. The dynamic light spot would change my mind. Any word on if that is code-able, or code-able on the F15?

Thanks!

I believe for the F15 it required different fog lights that you can swap for around $400 if you buy them on eBay. For newer models with the LED headlights, I believe it is just coding to enable it.

My 40i build has 5AC Automatic High Beams (STD) along with 5AZ Icon Adaptive LED Headlights with Laserlight ($1,000).

Dynamic Light Spot would be a cool coding upgrade.
